Your gift supports our mission to educate those who serve by increasing the opportunity for financial freedom through objective financial education, information, tools, and scholarships.

Charitable Events

We host seasonal fundraising events throughout the year and all are open to the public (21+ for the golf classic, please). The golf and clay tournaments include food, fun, and prizes.

All proceeds from the Clay Shoot and Spring Auction fund financial readiness programs that combat fiscal and economic insecurity. Our Golf Classic and Fall Auction fund our Carroll H. Payne scholarship program, benefiting those seeking college or trade school degrees. Our Holiday Haul 50/50 Raffle funds all our work.

Join us for one or all events to help us support America’s active duty and veteran service members, civilian federal employees, and their families!

Charity Clay Shoot (April) Due to circumstances beyond our control, the 2024 clay shoot has been canceled. See you in 2025!
Charity Golf Classic (September)
Charity Online Auctions (Spring and Fall)
• Holiday Haul 50/50 Raffle (November – mid December)

Volunteer

FCEF is always looking for committed volunteers to assist in supporting our mission.

Your commitment helps us deliver on our mission to educate those who serve and their loved ones on their path to financial security with ready, relevant, and reliable financial education programs.

Looking to get involved but not sure where to start? Look over our volunteer job descriptions and decide what is right for you. Then complete and submit the volunteer application. It’s that simple.

Thank you for your continued support of First Command Educational Foundation. We could not deliver on our mission without selfless volunteers such as you!

Volunteer Speaker Program (In-person or Virtual)

As a volunteer speaker, you will teach various financial topics to audiences. Your mission is to clearly articulate the topic’s content, answer questions, and provide information about additional resources available to attendees. Volunteer speakers are prohibited from soliciting and promoting products or services offered by themselves or any other organization.

Subject Matter Experts (Remote)

Being financially savvy empowers individuals and families, reduces stress, and fosters a sense of security. As a SME, you will work closely with our directors to update and develop content for our Education Programs. Your mission is to help create informative and engaging content that leaves attendees confident to make better, more informed, and prudent financial decisions.

Marketing/Social Media Volunteers (Remote)

Our Marketing/Social Media Volunteers assist by planning and creating social media as well as printed and electronic marketing content for First Command Educational Foundation. Our social media presence is vital in supporting our Agency’s mission of educating those who serve, creating financial readiness programs and scholarships that help combat financial insecurity in our military community.

Special Event Volunteers (In-Person)

Special event day volunteers typically commit to a one-day event, lasting 6-8 hours depending on event and number of volunteers working the event.
